The story.
"Ribka moya" ("my little fishie") - this is how kindly Russian mothers call their daughters. The painting contains elements of national culture of people from the North of Russia-(Eskimos, Evenki, Yakutos....): Fishes, icy blue and perl colours, long bodies. Fur capuchin on girl´s head is transforming to small details symbolising pieces of ice which are moving around her head like different thoughts. Mother bent her body towards her daughter in a movement symbolising protection and care.
The family of my daughter´s father is from the North of Russia. That is why I gave to her face that ethnical look.
